From the Burdicks

Our hearts are full of thanks to you, our friends, family, and supporters for your part in enabling us to continue serving the Lord for another year. We are so blessed to have you on our team! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you! May the Lord bless your 2015!!

Highlights from the year:  Three total trips to the Philippines. Brent made two trips, one in April to visit the typhoon relief and restoration team in Tacloban City and to attend the FECPI annual pastor’s retreat, and one in December to visit the typhoon team again and attend the FECPI 30th anniversary celebrations. Two trips by Kim; one in April with Brent, and one in July as she led a team of women from our church here in Charlotte. Devri and Danya were co-leaders with Kim.

Changes afoot: Brent has stepped down from field leadership in the Philippines in order for the leaders there to take full responsibility for all the ministries. It is their next step in leadership growth! We will continue to serve as a consultant for the ministry in the Philippines. Brent is now a part of the Theological Education team of OMS. He serves as volunteer Global Engagement Coordinator and adjunct faculty at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte and will be teaching a course on missions in the summer. He also serves on the Board of Trustees and adjunct faculty at Laurel University in High Point, NC. Kim is now on staff at our church in Charlotte, helping coordinate women’s life groups. She also counsels women, directs women’s ministry events, and helps engage women in missions. We still need financial support to continue making an impact in missions. Do keep us in prayer. We are so grateful for your faithful support!
